I've started a new postdoctoral research position at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Todd Oakley's Lab. In the Oakley Lab I'll be investigating the origins of the chiton (Mollusca:Polyplacophora) "shell eye" using  target capture phylogenomic methods.

Ulf Jondelius and I were awarded 317K SEK (that's about $39,300) by Sweden's SciLifeLab to sequence acoelomorph genomes using PacBio sequencing. Click above for press release by SciLifeLab.
